NPL: Pokhara’s Lumbini set a modest target of 98 runs
Kathmandu. In the second match of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) today, Pokhara Avengers set a modest target of 98 runs to Lumbini Lions.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Pokhara scored 97 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 9 wickets. Chamika Karunaratne scored 25 runs and captain Kushal Bhurtel scored 14 runs. Reuben Trumpmann took 3 wickets and Tilak Bhandari took 2 wickets for Lumbini. Lumbini, who played two matches, won one and shared points from one match due to rain. Lumbini will be looking to continue their unbeaten streak today.
On the other hand, Pokhara Avengers have lost both their previous matches. Pokhara, which is playing its third match today, is under pressure to get its first win in the tournament.
In the first match of the day, Biratnagar Kings defeated Janakpur Bolts by 2 runs.
