NPL: Lumbini defeated Pokhara to win the first position
. In the second match of the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL), Lumbini Lions defeated Pokhara Avengers by 8 wickets to climb to the top position. Lumbini has reached the top position with 5 points from three matches. Pokhara is at the bottom with a hat-trick defeat.
Lumbini chased down the target of 98 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 11.4 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel contributed the highest 47 runs. Bipin Khatri took 1 wicket for Pokhara. Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Pokhara made 97 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 9 wickets. Chamika Karunaratne scored 25 runs and skipper Kushal Bhurtel scored 14 runs. Reuben Trumpmann took 3 wickets and Tilak Bhandari took 2 wickets for Lumbini. In the first match of the day, Biratnagar Kings defeated Janakpur Bolts by 2 runs.
