Kathmandu. CREATION Nepal is going to conduct a discussion session on the topic of Zero Waste at the COP 31 conference. Roshan Subedi, General Secretary of CREATION, said that CREATION Nepal will be conducting a panel discussion on the topic of Zero Waste at the COP 31 conference to be held in Turkey from November 9 to 20.
She said that Creations is going to have a sideline discussion on November 11. She said that experts will participate in the discussion.
Zero waste is the second priority on the agenda set by COP31, emphasizing the impact of waste on climate change.
The discussion will be attended by representatives from the Government of Nepal, representatives from the Waste Workers Alliance, SACAP and other international organizations, as well as experts and researchers working in the field of circular economy and waste management. The dialogue will be facilitated by Roshan Subedi, General Secretary of CREASION Nepal.
The discussion will provide an opportunity to present to the world the local practices and policy experiences of different countries, especially on zero waste and sustainable waste management.
There will be an international dialogue on community waste management, waste segregation at source, plastic reduction, organic waste processing, recycling, circular economy and green entrepreneurship. It is a significant achievement that Nepal has got the opportunity to hold discussions and dialogues on climate change, environmental protection, sustainable development and waste management at the international level through its own national pavilion. Founder President of CREASION Nepal, Ananda Mishra said that it was a golden opportunity for CREASION Nepal and it was a great achievement to discuss about zero waste on the world stage. For the first time in the history of COP, Nepal has got the opportunity to discuss in its own pavilion.
Nepal will discuss various topics of climate change in the pavilion.
