Taplejung. The peak of Makalu Peak is seen from the famous religious site Pathibhara in Taplejung. Makalu Mountain is the fifth highest mountain in the world and the fourth highest in Nepal. This mountain is located at an altitude of 8,463 meters above sea level in Sankhuwasabha district. Mt Makalu situated on the Nepal-China border under the Mahalangur mountain range is considered attractive in view of its natural beauty.
