Sarlahi. The Rajdevi Mai Phulmat Mata Temple located near the Nepal-India border in Malangawa Municipality-9 and Brahmapuri Rural Municipality-3, Bhelhi, the district headquarters of Sarlahi, has become the center of faith of the devotees in recent times.

Located near the Jhim River in the northeast direction from the Malangwa Bazar area, the atmosphere of this temple is very enchanting and delightful. Surrounded by green trees all around, the temple complex encompasses religious and natural beauty together.

A large number of devotees from Nepal and India, who have reverence for Rajdevi Mai, come here for worship, adoration, and darshan. Especially after the fulfillment of their wishes, the devotees come here to see the Mother. Although it is located on the Nepal-India border, there is no border obstacle to worship in this temple. Citizens of both countries worship here with equal reverence and devotion.

On the occasion of Dashain and Chaite Navratri, there is a special crowd of devotees in the temple. During Dashain, a fair is also organized here. People of all age groups, from children to senior citizens, come for darshan and worship. Especially the younger generation also participates significantly.

According to Raj Verma, the priest of the temple, there is a special crowd of devotees who come here every Friday morning for worship and worship.

The religious legend associated with the late Mana Raut Kurmi’s brother Rampreet Raut, the landowner of the temple, is also a special identity of this temple. His nephew Basudev Raut says that the late Rampreet Raut had a vision of the goddess. Basudev Raut says that Ramprit, who is also a dhami, used to tell his relatives that he used to communicate directly with his mother.

After the death of late Rampreet Raut, a separate temple has been constructed towards the north of Rajdevi Mai Phulmat Mata Temple in his memory, said Basudev Raut.

Rajdevi Mai Phulmat Mata Temple, which has been connecting religious beliefs, traditions and cultural relations between Nepal and India, is becoming known as an important religious site in the Malangwa region. Anil Rauniyar Gudu, a local resident and businessman of Malangwa-8, said that this temple can be developed as an important destination of religious tourism if proper publicity, conservation and infrastructure can be developed.
