Kathmandu. On Thursday, the last trading day of the week, the NEPSE index increased by 5.36 points. With this increase, the NEPSE index reached at 2838 points today.
On the previous day, NEPSE had decreased by 33 points.
The production and processing group increased the most by 1.40 percent. The increase in the prices of new companies in this group has affected the overall group index. Likewise, hotel and tourism increased by 1.38 per cent, hydropower by 0.67 per cent, others by 0.56 per cent and trade by 0.03 per cent. The decline rate of the group index was less than 1 percent. Banking 0.27 per cent, development bank 0.38, finance 0.34, investment 0.16, life insurance 0.07, microfinance 0.33 and non-life insurance 0.53 per cent.
The value of five companies has increased by 10 percent. Among the companies that have increased by 10 percent are Palpa Cement, Hotel Forest Inn, Ridgeline Energy, Suryakund Hydro Electric and Shikhar Power. Similarly, the price of Kalika Hydropower increased by 8.33 per cent, Reliance Spinning Milkio by 6.48 per cent and Solu Hydropower by 4.54 per cent.
Asian Hydropower was the biggest loser at 4.54 percent. Share prices of Superkhudi Hydro Ltd fell 4.40 percent while Emerging Nepal’s share price fell 3.59 percent. Among the major companies that were traded today are National Hydropower, Solu Hydropower, Reedi Power, Reliance Spinning Mills and Himal Dolakha Hydropower ।
