Kathmandu. After Prime Minister Balendra (Balen) Shah directed to vacate the encroached squatters, the squatters in Thapathali have started vacating the settlements. Prime Minister Shah had directed the chiefs of all the security agencies to vacate the encroached settlements. He gave this directive during a meeting with the chiefs of the security agencies.
The squatters started shifting their belongings from Thursday evening after rumours that a dozer would be used to evacuate the settlement since Saturday morning. The process of evacuating the settlements in Thapathali area continued on Friday morning.
