Kathmandu. The government has operated dozers in the concrete houses of the squatter settlement of Gairigaun in Tinkune, Kathmandu. On Saturday afternoon, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) used a dozer to demolish the huts of the squatters in Gairigaun and left the concrete houses behind. The remaining concrete houses were demolished using dozers on Monday.
On Saturday, a bulldozer was installed in the squatters’ settlement in Thapathali and the squatters’ settlement in Manohara was also evacuated. See the rest of the image:
