NEPSE index improves

Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index posted a double-digit fall this week. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 7.73 points to close at 2,796.43 points.

Today, 109,28,617 units of shares of 351 companies were traded 81,06 times and a total of Rs

4.74 billion was traded. Hydropower sub-indices decreased by 0.19 per cent, investment by 0.28 per cent, mutual funds by 0.07 per cent, trading by 1.39 per cent and other sub-indices by 0.44 per cent.

Banking by 0.68 per cent, development bank by 1.14 per cent, finance by 0.44 per cent, hotel and tourism by 0.97 per cent, life insurance by 0.13 per cent, production and processing by 1.52 per cent, microfinance by 0.29 per cent and non-life insurance by 0.15 per cent.

Share prices of Corporate Development Bank Limited, Palpa Cement Industries Limited and Shikhar Power Development Limited have hit the positive circuit in today’s trade.

On the other hand, the share price of Nifra Green Energy Debentures fell by 14.01 percent.
