Kathmandu. The head of Iran’s parliament’s National Security Committee, Ebrahim Azizi, has warned that any US intervention in the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a ceasefire violation. Azizi, the head of Iran’s parliament’s National Security Committee, issued the warning on social media.

He objected to Donald Trump’s “Project Freedom” plan and said that the US cannot manage the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. “Any interference by the United States in the new maritime order would be considered a ceasefire violation,” he said.

Earlier, Trump had announced plans to safely evacuate international ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz amid escalating tensions in the Gulf under Project Freedom.

He said that many countries around the world have asked the US for help to safely operate their ships. Trump said the plan would go into effect on Monday and threatened to “strongly retaliate” if any obstacles to this humanitarian effort were impeded.
