Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has issued a temporary order not to dissolve student unions in universities. A single bench of Justice Shreekanta Poudel issued the order against the government’s decision on Monday.

The apex court issued the order on a writ petition filed by eight student unions against the government’s decision to dissolve the student unions. After hearing the petition, the court ordered not to implement the government’s decision until further orders.

The court has also summoned both the parties for a discussion to decide whether to issue an interim order or not. With this, the student organizations will not be dissolved for the time being.
