Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,365 drivers have been taken action for violating traffic rules. Through this, Rs 21,77,504 revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 88 people were taken action for drunken driving, 258 for ride-sharing, 156 for breaching signal lights and 174 for speeding.
Similarly, 123 for flouting lane discipline, 128 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 124 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 163 for one-way driving and 1,121 for not following other traffic rules were taken.
