Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index posted a double-digit fall this week. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 1.03 points to close at 2,730.91 today.
The sensitive index, which measures the turnover of large companies, rose 0.50 points to sit at 468.05.
A total of 58,28,604 units of shares of 339 companies were traded at a price of Rs 2.45 billion.
Among the traded companies, the share prices of 119 companies increased while 132 companies declined.
There was no change in the share prices of a total of 18 companies. Among the top five companies in terms of turnover were Sahas Energy, Reliance Spinning Mills, SY Panel, Api Power Company and Shivam Cement.
Similarly, the investors of Ingawa Hydropower, Bungal Hydropower Company, Sagarmatha Hydropower Company, NIBL Samriddhi Fund II and Prabhu Bank’s Bidenture also earned today.
The investors of NIFRA Power Debenture, SY Panel Nepal, Palpa Cement, Bhagawati Hydropower and Bottlers Nepal suffered losses.
