Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A total of 2,076 drivers have been arrested for breaching traffic rules in Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours. According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Rs 1 million 53 thousand 510 revenue has been deposited in the state coffers through this amount.
The action was taken against 88 for drinking, 93 for ride-sharing, 117 for breaching lamps and 228 for speeding, said Superintendent of Police Naresh Raj Subedi.
Among them, 129 were for flouting lane discipline, 57 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 90 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 88 for violating one-way traffic rules and 1,186 for abiding by other traffic rules.
