. Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed vice-chancellor and registrar of Shahid Dasharath Chand University of Health Sciences in Geta, Kailali.
At a programme organized at the Ministry on Wednesday, Minister Pokharel said that the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor Prof.
Dr. Dr. Sunil Kumar Joshi and the Registrar. He administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bhim Bahadur Chand.
A meeting of the University Assembly held at the Ministry of Education today said that Prof. Dr. Joshi has been appointed as the vice-chancellor and Dr Chand as the registrar.
Coordinator of the Recommendation Committee. Dr. Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel presented the report along with the merit order in the assembly through Pro-Chancellor and Chairperson and Minister for Education and Sports.
Minister Pokharel said that the recommendation process of 10 medical experts was completed in a fair, impartial and transparent manner based on the evaluation of 10 medical experts.
Stating that the recommendation committee had determined the merit order on the basis of the evaluation, he expressed the belief that academic and administrative works including teaching and learning would start from this year under the leadership of the newly-appointed office-bearers.
According to Clause 25 of the Martyr Dasharath Chand University Act, the recommendation committee will recommend the names of three candidates along with the merit list and the candidates will be appointed among them.
Education Minister Pokharel and Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta were present in the meeting.
