Application for Korean Language Test Open

Kathmandu. Applications for the Korean language test are open. The EPS Korea branch of the Department of Foreign Employment under the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment has invited applications from interested candidates.

According to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Nepal and South Korea, a quota of 7,200 people has been fixed under the Employment Permit System (EPS) this year.

As per the demand received from HRD Korea, 5,000 workers are required in the productive sector, 2,000 in agriculture and livestock, 100 in service sector and 100 in forest sector.

According to the quota, applications for the language test can be submitted online from July 27, 2026 to August 2, 2026.

The candidate should have completed 18 years of age and not more than 3

9 years of age. Likewise, the applicant must not have been convicted of any criminal offense, has not been sent back from living illegally in South Korea, has not been barred from going to other countries by the Government of Nepal and has not stayed in South Korea on E-9 or E-10 visa for five years or more.

The

examination will be conducted in two phases. The second phase of the test will be conducted only after the results of the first phase language test are published. The fee for the exam is 28 US dollars.

The results of the candidates who are successful in the final round will be valid for two years. However, passing the Korean language test is not the only basis for ensuring employment in Korea.
