Speaking at the launch of Gururaj Ghimire’s book ‘Buddha, BP and Today’s Leaders’ and ‘Lilliputka Laghuman’ organized by Gururaj Ghimire on Tuesday, Thapa said that Gururaj Ghimire’s open letter to him and Bishwa Prakash Sharma is more about love, compassion and constructive criticism than frustration.”Today, the issue of an open letter written by Guru Ghimire to Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Gagan Thapa has been raised time and again.

President Thapa said that Ghimire’s writings reflect his personality and the difference between criticism and criticism is clearly visible.
He said, “There is no frustration anywhere in the letter written to us. There is love, there is compassion, there is equanimity, there is criticism, there is no condemnation. This is the character of Guru Ghimire. It is natural to question the people in charge. “Although the articles in the book are contemporary political commentary, their main message is concern about the distortions in politics,” he said.
“Buddha, BP and today’s leaders” and “Miniature Man of Lilliput” seem like contemporary political commentary.
But I see that the distortion in politics has deeply pained the writer. There are different characters and contexts, but the essence is the same. The distortion has created intense discontent in the society. It was this dissatisfaction that established the inevitability of change, but the leadership has not been able to understand it. Speaking at the program, NC Vice-President Bishwa Prakash Sharma said that former Prime Minister BP Koirala’s literary contribution along with political leadership could not stop his creativity.

Had BP been the prime minister, the country would have attained a new height. But he was imprisoned. Even after that, the creativity within BP did not die. Works like ‘Sumnima’ and ‘Narendra Dai’ were born within the four walls of the jail imprisoned by King Mahendra. “
The context of Buddha and BP’s sacrifice is relevant for today’s politics as well,” Sharma said.
He said, “While reading ‘Buddha, BP and Today’s Leaders’, we should remember that Buddha abdicated power and BP did not put himself in the race again after becoming the Prime Minister.” Today’s politics should be seen in relation to the sacrifices of Buddha and BP.
