Shakyamuni Commodities has cheated the people of Palpali over Rs 100 million, the victim’s complaint

Kathmandu. Victims have complained that Shakyamuni Commodities Company swindled more than 40 people of over Rs 100 million in Palpa district. Organizing a press conference at Sambad Dabali in the capital on Wednesday, they also demanded the state to implement the court’s decision.

Sambhu Thapa, chairman of Nagarik Youth Squad Nepal, accused Shakyamuni Commodities of swindling millions of rupees in the pretext of providing various services to the locals. Thapa said that the court has already proved that the people were cheated a decade ago by spreading the dream of making the people self-reliant by doing collective business from gold to salt at the local level.

Thapa said that after the objectives of the organization were not implemented for about 4 years, the locals asked for the return of the investment and they came to know about the fraud and then went to the legal remedy.

Thapa has claimed that Sachin Shakya, proprietor of Commodities, Kalpana Ghimire and Gyan Prasad Gaire, who collected money, were cheated by the locals. Thapa said that although the victims had won the case at Palpa District Court in 2082 BS for the return of their money, the victims have not received the relief so far and have appealed to the Citizen Youth Squad. Nabin Regmi, chief of the security department of the squad, said that they have been fighting for the victim for the last 3 years and have also tried to bring the victim side into coordination.

“We were compelled to go to the media after we repeatedly appealed to the operators of commodities organizations to return the money to the victims,” Regmi said.

Regmi said that if the operators do not give justice to the victims, they will have to face action as per the court’s verdict. Regmi also called on the incumbent government agencies to implement the verdict of the Palpa District Court in favor of the victim.
