. KATHMANDU: Senior leader of the Communist Party of Nepal and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that various challenges have surfaced on national independence, sovereignty, democracy and constitutionally guaranteed people’s rights.
Issuing a press release on the occasion of the 48th Pushpalal Memorial Day today, he said that the communist movement should be reconstituted, transformed and united on the basis of right revolutionary political line.
“Various challenges are being posed to national independence, sovereignty, democracy and people’s rights guaranteed by the constitution.
In such a situation, it is necessary to reorganize, transform and unify the Communist Party of Nepal on the basis of the right revolutionary line while safeguarding the nation’s independence, national integrity, national interests and people’s achievements. Remembering Pushpalal as the founder and founder leader of the Nepali communist movement, he said that he was the leader who gave clear ideological guidance for the revolutionary transformation of the Nepali society. He claimed that Nepal’s people’s revolution had become successful after being guided by Pushpalal’s philosophy, the constitution was promulgated through the Constituent Assembly and foundation for socialist transformation had been prepared.
Khanal said that broader unity, collaboration and common initiative among all leftist, democratic and patriotic forces were the historical need of the hour.”Greater unity, collaboration and common initiative among all leftist, democratic and patriotic forces is the historical need of the hour,” he said.
He called on all leftist, democratic and patriotic forces to unite to protect national interests, consolidate democracy, achieve social justice, prosperity and achieve the goal of scientific socialism with Nepali characteristics.
He also expressed high regard to Comrade Pushpa Lal, the founding general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal.
PM Oli has also paid tribute to the historic contribution of late Pushpalal Pushpalal to the Nepali communist movement to the present height.
