. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said negative publicity was being made in a planned manner regarding achievements made by the country since the establishment of republic.
Addressing a condolence program organized to mark the 48th Pushpalal Memorial Day here today, he said that there were attempts to devalue the political, social and physical development that took place after the republic in a planned manner.
He said, “Many positive things that developed after the republic in Nepal have been attacked with false propaganda in a very negative manner. The unprecedented development in the field of physical infrastructure has been humiliated. Progress in education and health is being humiliated and undervalued. He said that the unprecedented development in physical infrastructure, education and health sectors are also being insulted and undermined.
Prachanda took the Pushpalal Memorial Day as not only an opportunity to pay tribute but also a day to launch a new campaign against the ‘regressive attack’ on the achievements of the republic and the changes brought about as per the ideology of Pushpalal.
He said, “This time the wind of revolution is blowing in our country to pay homage to Pushpalal. It has attacked the achievements of the republic or the changes that have taken place according to the teachings of Pushpa Lal. It is a day of determination to launch a new campaign against it. He stressed the need to give priority to ideological renaissance along with the reconstruction of the physical structure of the Pushpalal Foundation.
He underscored the need of thorough study and research on Nepal’s history, class structure and social development to build an ideological base that could wage struggle against feudalism, imperialism and autocracy.
