Kathmandu. At 11:05 am on Friday, I received an email from Bipana Shrestha claiming to be the Media Coordinator of Everest Ad and Event Management. The email had reported that a person had been arrested for bringing Sipradi’s illegal goods.

Illegally importing and selling fake parts and lubricants of Tata vehicles

Banepa-based Nest Generation Automotive Pvt. Ltd. has been arrested on suspicion of cheating consumers.

It was reported that the operator of the vehicle had been arrested. The image, which was created by an AI, and did not match the language of the general news, was sent to various media outlets.

Normally, the police report that someone has been arrested. But SIPRADI’s advertising agency, Everest Ad and Event Management, sent the details as if it were a police office – that too was false.

Rajkumar Pote, who came in contact with Artha Khabar, claimed that he was not arrested by the police and that his warehouse was sealed after interrogation.

“I haven’t been arrested. Sipradi has sent fake news to the media. I have received 4-500 calls, I am shocked. ‘

He also claimed that he had brought the goods after paying customs duty, opening the LC and completing all the procedures.

“I have all the documents, all of a sudden, Sipradi’s team came with the police and locked the shop without any permit. The rest is in legal remedies. ‘

He is seeking legal advice on this matter. In this case, the legal practitioners are suggesting that Bipana Shrestha, who sent the release from the advertising agency, and media operators should be accused of defamation and cybercrime, so they should file a case with the police accordingly. Legal experts say it is illegal to send the news of someone’s arrest to various media without even officially verifying it from the police.

Bipana Shrestha, who is said to be the media coordinator of Everest Ads, said that they also came to know about the mistake after sending the release and did not send the corrected release after the sirs told ‘let it be today’.

In this way, she has admitted to committing cybercrime.

The District Police Office, Dhulikhel, has also confirmed that no arrests have been made.

The District Administration Office, Kavre, has also confirmed that the godown was locked on the basis of Sipradi’s complaint but the arrest of the person was wrong. The police have also made it clear that if an advertising agency sends the news of an arrest to the media unauthorizedly, it will attract cyber laws.
