NEPSE index increases by 33 points

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index surged by 33.27 points to close at 2,866.87 today.

This is an increase of 1.17 percent.

According to NEPSE, 264,38,521 units of shares of 344 companies were traded for Rs 10.53 billion worth Rs 10.

sub-indices of all groups have increased in today’s trading. Banking sector increased by 1.30 per cent, development bank by 1.53 per cent, finance by 1.21 per cent, hotel and tourism by 3.16 per cent, hydropower by 2.14 per cent and investment group by 0.89 per cent.

Likewise, life insurance (0.46 per cent), production and processing (0.11 per cent), microfinance (0.64 per cent), mutual fund (0.56 per cent) and non-life insurance (0.39 per cent) saw a rise in the review period.

According to NEPSE, the share prices of 6 companies have reached the positive circuit today.
