Kathmandu. The District Administration Office, Kanchanpur has said that essential services would be provided even on public holidays. The Office has stated that the services related to citizenship, passport and national identity card will be available even during public holidays.
Assistant Chief District Officer Mohan Chandra Joshi said the service would be provided even on public holidays to facilitate the service seekers. The festival will be celebrated on the occasion of public holidays such as Chandi Purnima (Baisakh Purnima), Buddha Jayanti, Ubhauli Parba, Republic Day, Prithvi Jayanti, Raksha Bandhan, Ghatasthapana, Dhanya Purnima, Christmas Day, various Lhosar, Maghi festival, Democracy Day, International Women’s Day and Holi.
Similarly, the service will be provided on the occasion of Eid (Eid-ul-Fitr) and Bakar-Eid (Eid-ul-Adha) for the Muslim community, Assistant Chief District Officer Joshi has urged all to be present with the necessary documents.
Stating that this provision has been implemented for the ease of the service seekers, he said, “Essential services can be operated without any hindrance even during public holidays.” ‘
