Kathmandu. Chairman of the Labour and Culture Party, Harka Raj Rai (Sampang), has expressed anger over the demolition of squatters. On Sunday, he took to social media to ask how many troops the autocratic RSP government sent to Lipulekh and Mahakali to crush the squatters.
He wrote, “How many soldiers did the autocratic RSP government send to Lipulekh and Mahakali by deploying 1900 policemen to crush the poor Nepali squatters? Or is it entangled in opening the door of its vehicle?”
He said that the squatters were forced to spend the night on the streets after the settlement was demolished.
“Where did Honorable Ravi Lamichhane disappear? What did the government do, people started spending nights on the streets from yesterday,” he wrote.
He also urged the House to reopen at the earliest.
