Kathmandu. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 39.44 points to close at 2,744.40 today. This is a decline of 1.41 percent.
The sensitive index that measures the turnover of large companies decreased by 5.15 points to sit at 469.26. A total of 1,06,78,550 units of shares were traded at a price of Rs 4.66 billion.
On the basis of turnover, National Hydropower, Reliance Spinning Mills, Reedy Power Company, Shivam Cement and AY Panel Ltd were at the top of the trading sector. According to NEPSE, the investors of Dhaulagiri Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, SBL Debentures, NIBL Samriddhi Fund II, NIC Asia Debentures and Nepal SIB Bank Debentures earned today.
Similarly, the investors of First Microfinance Laghubitta, Kumari Dhanbadhi Yojana, Jhapa Energy, Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta and Hot Forest Inn suffered a loss.
Out of the total traded companies, 13 increased while 251 companies declined. However, there was no change in the share prices of five companies.
