Govt to provide Rs 15,000 monthly house rent to landless squatters

Kathmandu. The government is preparing to provide Rs 15,000 monthly to landless squatters until the land ownership certificates are issued. The government is preparing to provide a monthly house rent of Rs 15,000 for temporary management until the land ownership certificate (land ownership certificate) is distributed to the genuine

squatters.

The government representatives gave this information at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives on Thursday. Committee President Hari Dhakal said that the ministers and officials of the Ministry of Urban Development and the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration presented the progress made so far by the management of landless squatters.

Currently, screening is being done to identify the landless people in various holding centers of Kathmandu and the government aims to distribute the land ownership certificates through a ‘fast track’ after the completion of this process.
