Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A total of 14,057 students passed the scholarship selection test conducted by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) on May 29. As per the decision of the Scholarship Examination Board today, the results of the candidates who have secured a minimum of 40 marks have been published along with the preliminary merit order.
The scholarship is for studying in grade 11 and 12 in the academic session 2083÷084 in the institutional educational institutions operating under the metropolis. Arrangements have been made to view, download and print the scorecard by entering his/her roll number, date of birth and password (received on mobile/email) on the portal filled in the online form to view the result.
According to Education Officer and Examination Committee Coordinator Namaraj Dhakal, this is the preliminary result. If you are not satisfied with this result, you can apply for re-election within office hours on June 20. After this, the list of final merit order will be published. Only after the list of final qualifications, the educational institution matching and student nomination recommendation process begins.
According to Dhakal, a student who got the highest marks in the examination got 92 marks. Similarly, a student who secured the second highest score got 91 marks. In the third position, 5 students scored 90 marks. If you are not satisfied with the published results, an application can be submitted to the Education Department by paying Rs 1,000 and a copy of the admit card can be submitted to the Education Department by June 3.
Similarly, if the application has to be made in the reservation area where the name, gender and other details are different or the eligibility is not fulfilled and the form has to be approved, the application can be made by June 20 by attaching the documents that provide proof that the area cannot be added. A notice was published on April 17, 2008 for the selection of students for scholarship.
The scholarship examination was conducted at 83 centres. Out of a total of 26,888 students, 26,603 students had applied for the exam through online system, including 16,549 boys, 10,333 girls and six other students. Out of the approved applicants, 22,020 students had appeared for the examination.
