. Himalaya Motorx Pvt. Ltd., the authorized importer and distributor of MAXUS vehicles in Nepal under the SAIC Group of China, has launched another new powerful and attractive electric four-wheel drive pickup MAXUS eTERRON 9 Comfort in the Nepali market.
The company has fixed a special starting price of Rs 88 lakh for this vehicle.
This price will be applicable only for the first 50 customers. The company has already released the premium version of this Maxus eteron9 a year ago. Its current price is Rs 1.28 crore.
Designed with powerful performance, long range, comfortable travel and practical use in mind, the eTERRON 9 Comfort is suitable for daily travel, long-distance drives, outdoor adventure and commercial use.
Built in American standard size, this pickup is equipped with a 102.2 kWh battery, which is the largest capacity battery pack among the vehicles imported in Nepal.
It offers a range of up to 560 km on a single charge, as per NEDC standards. It supports DC fast charging up to 115 kW and the battery can be charged from 20 percent to 80 percent in about 42 minutes.
eTERRON 9 Comfort has two electric motors with a capacity of 125 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear. It produces a total of 700 Nm of torque and can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds. Its maximum speed is 190 kilometers per hour.
According to Himalaya Motrucks Pvt. Ltd., “The MAXUS eTERRON9 Comfort Pickup features a high ground clearance of 260 mm, a maximum range of long distances, powerful four-wheel drive capability, and a variety of modes to operate on high mountain and hilly roads, mud and rocky roads.
The MAXUS TERRON 9 Comfort has a payload capacity of 1,050 and its society is the highest in the segment. The size of the cargo box is 16mm, 100mm, 13mm. The vehicle is equipped with an All-Terrain System (ATS) that allows it to operate smoothly on various types of roads and landslides, while the approach angle of the vehicle is 29 degrees and the departure angle is 25 degrees. The double wishbone front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension help to provide a comfortable and stable ride in Nepal’s varying road conditions.
The cabin of the eTERRON 9 Comfort, designed for up to five passengers, is spacious, attractive, and state-of-the-art.
It comes with two screens, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central touchscreen. Other features that come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic air conditioning, 6-way electric driver’s seat, multi-fold microfiber leather steering wheel, separate AC outlet for rear passengers, USB and Type-C charging ports, ability to start and turn the vehicle without removing the key, automatic headlight and wipers, vehicle-to-load facility to operate external electrical appliances, one-touch power window are also provided in this pickup.
Five-Star Safety Rating:
The MAXUS eTERRON 9 pickup has received a five-star safety rating from the prestigious Euro NCAP. This rating has been achieved only by very few vehicles imported in Nepal. This showcases the vehicle’s robust safety capabilities and the latest technology used for passenger safety. Not only is it comfortable and convenient as a pickup car, but it is also designed to be versatile on all types of roads in Nepal.
Saurav Thapa, managing director of the company, said that he is happy to make the electric pickup of a world-renowned company like Maxus available at a very attractive price in Nepal. He also informed that the luxury microbus of the same Marxus company is also going to be launched in the upcoming Naima Auto Expo. According to him, the company is not only selling vehicles but also expanding after-sales services. According to him, this Maxus vehicle is currently being showroomed and sold in Kathmandu and Pokhara and its service outlets are available in 6 major cities across the country.
Himalaya Organization, which has been the official importer and distributor of Force Motors in Nepal for the past 10 years, will soon launch a series of buses manufactured in China by Dongfeng Company.
