Home Minister Sudhan Gurung reaches Nijgadh and begins direct dialogue with meter interest victims, pressurizes them to address 6-point demands
Rautahat.The government has initiated initiatives to solve the problems of meter interest victims. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has arrived in Nijgadh of Bara to meet the victims of the protest and hold direct talks with them about their problems.
Home Minister Gurung reached Nijgadh via road immediately after landing at Simara Airport by Buddha Air.
Minister Gurung has already started holding direct discussions and interactions with the agitating victims who have set up camps in Nijgadh.
The meeting has been watched with great interest in the political and social circles after the minister himself came forward to give guardianship on behalf of the state to the citizens who have been struggling on the streets for a long time.
The victims have put forward a 6-point demand with a clear blueprint to the government for the complete destruction of the feudal system that has encroached upon their property and their land.
They have demanded the government to scrap the fake documents, enact a special act, form a tribunal and return the property of the victims. On the occasion, Home Minister Sudhan Gurung assured that the government was serious towards the problems and demands of the victims and the Ministry of Home Affairs was doing homework to put an end to this practice in a legal way. However, the victims have been adamant that they will not stop the protest until a concrete and written decision is taken, saying that the agreement has not been implemented time and again in the past.
