New consciousness in the poems of ‘Bal Bhanu’: Unnati Pudasaini wins Valley View competition

. On the occasion of the 213th birth anniversary of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya, Valley View School in central Baneshwor, Kathmandu organized the 19th valley-wide inter-school poetry competition in the presence of senior child litterateur Ram Babu Subedi.

Students from 26 schools of Kathmandu Valley participated in the competition organized with the objective of promoting Nepali language, literature and creativity. Unnati Pudasaini of Army Residential College, Sallaghari won the first prize with a poem titled ‘Flowers of the Garden Live Eternally’. Likewise, Shreenisha Bogati of Pathshala Nepal Foundation, Bagdol won the second position in the poem ‘Ek Chari Hoon Ma’, Anjali Karki of Nexus International Academy came third in the poem ‘Letter to Foreign Mother’ and Unisa Niraula of Occidental Public School came fourth by reciting the poem ‘Maushumi Bartan’. President of Bhanu Pratishthan, D. P. Aryal, Vice President Dr.

Poet Ramesh Shubhechu, poet Harihar Timilsina and poet Prabha Bhattarai praised the creativity and poetry of the students and praised the role played by Valley View School in awakening interest in Nepali language and literature among the new generation.

Principal of the school and program chairperson Subhash Chandra Bhandari said that Valley View School has been organizing inter-school poetry competition and litterateur felicitation program for the past 19 years.

Such programs have helped the students to enhance their talent and ownership towards Nepali language, literature and culture.

On the occasion, chief guest Rambabu Subedi was felicitated with cash and shawl.

In addition, prizes were distributed to all the participating students and winning students and tokens of love were given to the special guests.

The program was hosted by Yogendra Poudel, Sabitra Nepal and Santosh Chapagain.
