Chandragiri Sakos receives OKU’s Digital Growth Award-2026
Kathmandu. The Nepali cooperative movement has made significant achievements in the international forum. KATHMANDU: Chandragiri Savings and Credit Cooperatives Limited has won the Digital Growth Award-2026 by the World Credit Council (OKU). Chandragiri is the first organization in Nepal to receive this award.
The award was presented to Chandragiri SACOS during OKU’s Annual General Meeting and World Credit Union Conference held in Sydney, Australia on Monday.
Mr. Michael Lawrence, President of OKU and Mr. Paul Trainin handed over the award to Mr. Krishna Kumar Shrestha. OKU has awarded Chandragiri SACOS this year’s Digital Growth Award for its effective use of digital technology in member services, making service delivery quick, convenient and reliable, and the progress shown in corporate digital transformation.
Member organizations from all over the world competed for this award.
The award has further energized the organization’s commitment to technology-friendly service, said Chief Executive Officer Krishna Kumar Shrestha.
Stating that the honor is the result of collective efforts of the members, Board of Directors, PAC, employees and partners, he expressed commitment to provide quality and innovative service in the days ahead.

(NEFSCUN) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mr. Shivaji Sapkota said that this achievement is an inspiring success for the entire savings and credit cooperative movement in Nepal. According to him, this honor received from a world-class organization has proved that Nepali cooperatives are capable of competing internationally in the use of technology and quality of service to its members.
He expressed the belief that such international recognition would help boost the confidence of Nepali cooperatives at a time when various negative perceptions are being spread about the cooperative sector in recent times.
