Janakpur. KATHMANDU: Coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the country and the entire communist movement would have to suffer if the party could not be strengthened in Madhes.
Addressing the ‘Unification Meeting and Training Programme’ organized by the Nepali Communist Party, Madhes Province at Janakpurdham on Wednesday, Chairman Dahal said that Madhes Province was very important for the party and nation although it was politically and socially challenging.
Pointing out the need to make the party more organized and strong in Madhes, he said that the country and the communist movement would have to face a big accident if a good party was not formed in Madhes.
He stressed on the need to give priority to the expansion of organization and unity in Madhes.
Coordinator Prachanda said although the party’s condition was satisfactory before the House of Representatives election, the expected results could not be achieved at the last moment due to unexpected political developments. Stating that a new
campaign would be launched for the expansion of the party organization, he said youths would be given priority in leadership. He suggested all to move ahead with the goal of ensuring up to 50 per cent participation of youths in the party committees.
Coordinator Prachanda said that the goal was to further strengthen the party unity by administering oath of office and secrecy to the office-bearers and members of the Madhes Province Committee.
