. Immediate past Acting President of the Nepali Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka, has said that the ideology of BP Koirala, the philosophy of nationality, democracy and socialism should be internalized in the present context.
Speaking at a program organized to mark the 44th BP Memorial Day on Saturday, Khadka paid rich tributes to the creators of the thoughts and ideals of the Nepali Congress and its creators.
He said that there was a need to put forth many issues publicly in the context of his time from his tenure as the acting president to the outgoing one while fighting cases at the Supreme Court and in the context of his appearance at the Election Commission along with the party leaders.
“On behalf of all, I would like to express my heartfelt tribute to the progenitor of the ideology and ideals of the Nepali Congress and its creators.
I have a lot to say to our party’s well-wishers, supporters, democrats and all Nepali sisters and brothers in the country and abroad about all the issues including when I took charge of the Acting President and when I was in the Supreme Court, when we all went to the Election Commission. He further said that the party well-wishers, supporters, democrats and all Nepali citizens at home and abroad are yet to be informed about the party’s developments in detail.
Recalling that BP Koirala had adopted the policy of finding a solution through dialogue throughout his life, Khadka said that he was constantly in favour of unity among the party, political parties and all the nationalist forces linked with the Nepal nation. Stating that BP had put forth dialogue, consensus and unity as the main formula for the solution while clarifying his views and views, he said that he had inspired the party ranks, youths and the country to take forward the same path till the end of his life.
According to him, due to BP’s leadership ability, ability, intelligence and foresight, the politics of the country was centered around him for a long time.
He said, “Unity is necessary among the parties, among the parties and among all the nationalist forces associated with the Nepal nation.”
BP always gave priority to all three issues while putting forth his thoughts and views throughout his life and presenting formulas for solutions through dialogue. He inspired the party ranks, youths and the country to move ahead on this path even till the last moment of his life. The politics of the country has always revolved around BP. We have had a leader like him with proud ability, ability, immense intellect and foresight, and there are such leaders in the Congress. “
Khadka said that the Nepali Congress has abandoned the ideology and policies of BP Koirala should not be concluded on the basis of a particular period or strategy. He said that such an understanding would be unfair to BP.
He said, “I believe that if we conclude that the NC has abandoned the ideology and policies of BP Koirala on the basis of a particular period or strategy, then we will be considered to have done injustice to BP.
“
claimed that Nepal’s nationality is in even bigger crisis now as compared to 2033 BS and the very existence of the country has reached a challenging situation. In such a situation, it was the biggest need to maintain complete unity in the Nepali Congress on the basis of consensus through dialogue, he said.
Khadka said that the unity forged only by uniting individuals would not be able to achieve the heights of nationalism, democracy, socialism and political achievements shown by BP.
According to him, the complete unity in the NC that is established through the formula of dialogue, consensus and unity will create moral and physical strength.
“Nepal’s nationality is in crisis hundreds of times more than it was in 2033 BS.
Nepal is in a dilemma whether it will remain a country or not. In such a situation, the biggest need of the hour is to maintain complete unity in the Nepali Congress on the basis of consensus through dialogue. The unity forged only by uniting the people cannot touch the nationalism, democracy, socialism shown by BP and the achievements and heights he has established. There is a need for complete unity in the Nepali Congress through the formula of dialogue, consensus and unity. On the basis of the moral and physical strength of all the unity within the Nepali Congress, new enthusiasm will be created throughout the country, and only the Nepali Congress can have the capacity to unite the political parties of the country with the unity of the same new context. He claimed that only the Nepali Congress has the capacity to unite other political parties on the basis of strong unity within the party. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala, Prakash Sharan Mahat, NP Saud and other leaders also addressed the meeting.
