Kathmandu. Police have also recorded statements of Madan Kumar Acharya, a member of the board of directors of Nepal Investment Mega Bank, in connection with the alleged illegal auction of property already owned by the government.
A case has already been filed at Kathmandu District Court against the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chairman and other directors of the bank on charges of fraud, organized crime and banking offense.
In the charge sheet filed by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) after a long investigation, it has been alleged that the property of Smart Cell, which has already been owned by the government, was auctioned to benefit Ncell.
During the investigation, the police have also recorded the statement of the proprietor Madan Kumar Acharya while taking statements from the concerned persons. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said. See his statement below:
