Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,105 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This has contributed Rs 26.60 lakh to the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office took action against 99 people for consuming alcohol, 193 for ride-sharing and 139 for violating traffic signals.
Similarly, 132 people were taken for flouting lane discipline, 79 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 79 for driving one-way traffic and 1,164 for flouting other traffic rules.
