Deputy Speaker not our party member: Harka Sampang

Kathmandu. Chairman of the Labour and Culture Party, Harka Raj Rai (Harka Sampang), has clarified that the Deputy Speaker was not a member of his party. Reacting on social media, he said that although the deputy speaker was elected from the party, he is no longer a member of the party.

He wrote, “The Deputy Speaker left Besak from our party, but he is no longer a member of our party. “Chairman Rai has also made it clear that no directive or whip of the party will be applied to the Deputy Speaker from now onwards. “I have already expressed regret over the matter and I am no longer a part of our party,” he said.

He wrote, “The Deputy Speaker has gone to Besak from our party. But he is no longer a member of our party! There is no direction or whip of the party in his decision! That’s why I’m sorry! She is not part of us.’

The Deputy Speaker had also objected to the recommendation of the fourth ranking judge of Sampang for the appointment of the Chief Justice.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ruby Kumari Thakur, has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Thakur also agreed to the decision and Sampang termed it regrettable.
