Jajarkot. A woman has died after a landslide buried a temporary hut in Jajarkot. The deceased has been identified as Jayashila Shah, 60, of Bheri Municipality-2.
According to the District Police Office, Jajarkot, the landslide triggered by incessant rainfall last night had buried the temporary huts constructed after the devastating earthquake of November 3, 2080. Shah, who was inside the hut and died on the spot, police said.
Shah’s 40-year-old daughter Menuka Shah and seven-year-old granddaughter Tika Thapa were rescued alive with the help of locals and security personnel. Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
