In 2082/083, the High Court Janakpur decided 70.88 percent of the cases
. The Janakpur High Court has been able to settle 70.88 percent of the cases in 2082/083 BS.
Organizing a press conference on Wednesday, Acting Chief Justice of Janakpur High Court, Tek Narayan Kunwar, informed about the performance of the court in the fiscal year 2082/083.
Presenting the statistics of the year, he said that 101.60 percent of the cases have been settled as per the annual target.
According to him, the total number
of cases decided is 4,619 out of the target of 4,546 cases during this period. During this period, all the remaining cases of the last 2 years have been decided. In 2082/083, a total of 6,516 cases were registered and 4,619 cases were settled. The number of cases pending is now 1,897.
In the last five years, the Janakpur High Court had decided 49.15 percent of the cases in the fiscal year 2078/79.
Similarly, in the fiscal year 2079/80, 44.17 percent of the cases were decided. In the fiscal year 2080/81, the highest number of cases were decided at 71.13 percent. In the fiscal year 2081/082, only 66.05 percent of the cases were decided, while in the fiscal year 2082/083, 70.88 percent of the cases were decided.
Chief Justice Kunwar said that the Janakpur High Court is emphasizing on the use of technology and the decision of cases is being done at a faster pace than before.
He clarified that some complaints have been received about the live telecast of the bench through YouTube and the live telecast of the bench is done only after taking permission from the concerned people and lawyers.
