According to the rules of the International Football Association Board and FIFA, political, religious or personal messages, slogans, flags or symbols are not displayed during or related activities.
FIFA can take action against the player, team or national football association for any violation of the rules.
In 1982, Britain and Argentina went to war over control of the Falkland Islands.
Britain was victorious in the nearly two-month war, and hundreds of soldiers on both sides were killed.
