. Four people have been arrested in possession of drugs.
Police have arrested Suman Tamang, 41, of Gajuri Municipality-7 in Dhading district with 109.96 kilogrammes of marijuana from Simpani of Manahari Rural Municipality-8 in Makwanpur district on Wednesday morning.
A team of
police deployed from Area Police Office, Manahari, arrested two persons including driver Suman after they found marijuana while checking a pickup truck (Ba. Pra 01-026 Cha 4893) en route to Hetauda from Chitwan.
Police have arrested Umesh Chaudhary, 26, of Katanpur in Katanpur of Tikapur Municipality-9 in Kailali district with 1 gram 110 milligrammes of heroin-like substance.
A police team deputed from Kalakunda Police Post arrested him with the substance.
Police have arrested 24-year-old Ashish Tharu of Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-6 with 370 milligrammes of brown sugar from Chepang Bazaar of Bansgadhi Municipality-1 on Wednesday afternoon.
A police team deputed from Chepang Police Post arrested him with the substance he was travelling in a bus heading towards Surkhet from Kohalpur.
Police said further investigation is underway in this connection.
