. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has taken action against 521 vehicles for traffic rule violation in the last 24 hours.
According to the daily traffic action report of the last 24 hours made public by the office, action has been taken against drivers violating various types of traffic rules.
According to the data, 323 vehicles have been taken action under the heading ‘Other’.
Of these, 66 were for speeding, 32 for misusing horn, 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 26 for violating red light and 19 for parking on the road.
Similarly, action has been taken against 12 vehicles for mechanical failure, seven for non-condition and 6 for violating one-way, according to the office. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police (KVMP) has been conducting regular traffic monitoring and action campaigns to maintain road discipline, enforce traffic rules and minimize road accidents.
