. President Ram Chandra Poudel has said human beings and nature should be kept at the centre of development construction.
Addressing a program organized on the occasion of 64th anniversary of the Engineers’ Association here today, President Poudel said that the concept of development should be linked with the welfare of the people and the prosperity of the country.
“History, geography, culture, ethnic structure and other diversities should not be taken into consideration while carrying out development construction. There is a need to accelerate production, employment and economic activities to address the demands of the present time and the aspirations and aspirations of the new generation. Stating that the country was in need of sustainable and environment-friendly infrastructures, President Poudel said that climate change was a big challenge before the country.
“In such a situation, our roads, bridges and hydropower projects should be resilient to natural disasters,” he said.

Stating that the future of any country depends on the thinking, energy and capacity of the youths of that country, President Poudel said that the dream of economic prosperity and prosperous Nepal could be materialized only when the innovative thinking of the youth and technical skills of the engineers.
He said, “Time has entrusted you with that responsibility today. Our young engineers are increasingly migrating to foreign countries in search of jobs and opportunities. This is a matter of concern for the country. I urge the government and the private sector to create adequate opportunities, proper evaluation and friendly environment for young engineer÷architects in the country. ’
