Kathmandu. The obstruction in the entry of Prabhu Bank CEO Suman Sharma was not present in the meeting held by the Finance Minister with the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of commercial banks on Tuesday.
Most of the CEOs of commercial banks had reached Singha Durbar at the allotted time for the meeting.
However, Rastriya Banijya Bank’s CEO Devendra Raman Khanal, Agriculture Development Bank CEO Govinda Gurung and Prabhu Bank CEO Suman Sharma did not attend the meeting.
According to sources, Sharma had to return from the gate even though he had reached Singha Durbar.
According to sources, the security personnel did not allow him to enter Singha Durbar as the number of the vehicle he was travelling in did not match with the details recorded for entry.
On that day, Sharma reached Singha Durbar a little later than the scheduled time due to the contempt of court case filed at the Supreme Court.
It is said that the officials coordinating the meeting were busy in discussions with the Finance Minister, so he could not coordinate further.
Sharma returned to the office after the security personnel stopped him from entering the office saying that the vehicle number did not match with the record.
After the meeting, some CEOs of other banks asked him why he was absent, but he said that he was stopped at the gate of Singha Durbar and then returned to the office.
Attempts were made to contact Sharma, CEO of Prabhu Bank, for his comments, but he could not be reached for comment.
