Tihar Celebration at Siddhartha School, students present cultural glimpse
Biratnagar. Siddhartha School located in Sundarharaicha Municipality-10 of Morang has organized a special Tihar program with the objective of preserving and promoting Nepali art, culture, tradition and original culture.
The school organized the program with the aim of acquainting the students with the importance of Nepali festivals, cultural identity and traditions that have been passed down for generations. In the program, the students gave various cultural and creative presentations related to Tihar.
The school believes that such activities will develop a sense of respect, belongingness and protection of the students towards their original culture and tradition. Founding Principal of the school, Arjun Basnet, said that such programs would play an important role in imparting practical, moral and cultural education to students along with bookish knowledge. According to him, it is also the responsibility of the school to introduce Nepali art, culture and tradition to the new generation and to preserve it and pass it on to the next generation.
