Tihar Special Indigenous Fair Begins in Thapathali
Kathmandu. Targeting the Tihar, the Tihar Special Indigenous Fair 2083 has started in Thapathali, Kathmandu from Saturday.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Deepak Kumar Saha inaugurated the three-day fair organized by the Food Management and Trade Company Limited on Saturday. According to the company, the fair has been organized with the objective of promoting the country’s original and local products and indigenous crops on the occasion of festivals.
The fair has been organized as a means to take local products to the consumers.
Agricultural products produced by farmers from different parts of the country as well as products prepared by domestic entrepreneurs are on display at the fair.
The fair is expected to help in the marketing of local products, increase the consumption of indigenous products and protect and promote indigenous crops. During the three-day fair, consumers will be able to observe and buy local and traditional products at one place.
