Hetauda. With the beginning of Tihar, the hustle and bustle of shopping has increased in the market. On this occasion, a Tihar-focused fair has been organized in Hetauda, Makwanpur with the objective of promoting and marketing the products produced by local entrepreneurs.
The two-day fair was organized with the support of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City and organized by Kanchenjunga Agriculture Cooperative. The fair started on Saturday and will continue till Sunday. Various products produced by local entrepreneurs have been put up for sale and exhibition at the fair.
The fair has been organized with the aim of providing the necessary materials for the festival in one place and to bring the local products directly to the consumers. There are 20 stalls in the fair. The stalls are stocked with Dhaka topi, pachyaura, flower garlands, Bhai masala and various items used during the festival.
Local entrepreneurs have participated in the fair with their own products. This has made it easier for consumers to get information about local products and buy goods by contacting the producers directly.
Chinimaya Gurung, chairperson of Kanchenjunga Agriculture Cooperative, said that the fair has been organized with the objective of providing direct access to the consumers and improving their economic condition by providing direct access to the products produced by local entrepreneurs. He said that the purpose of the fair is also to create an opportunity for meeting and sharing experiences among entrepreneurs.
Such programs are expected to help create an environment for locally produced products to get a market. The organizers believe that the fair will be useful in prioritizing local products and encouraging local entrepreneurs at a time when the use of imported goods is increasing during the festival.
