Three foreign nationals rescued by helicopter

Humla. Three foreign tourists, who were stranded in Halji village of Namkha Rural Municipality-6 due to snowfall accompanied by incessant rains a few days ago, have been rescued by helicopter. According to the District Police Office, Humla, three foreigners from Germany who had gone to visit the Limi Valley of Namkha were rescued on Thursday. The men Fabian Urlich, Jonas Urlich and Wilhelm Urlich, who were stranded in Halji village of Limi after heavy snowfall blocked the road due to snowfall from September 22 to 11, were rescued.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Humla, Shankar Khadka, said that the foreign nationals were rescued on Thursday afternoon after the foreign nationals were unable to travel due to snowfall.

He said that the foreign nationals were rescued by Simrik Air’s 9A-AKD helicopter. They were rescued from Halji and taken to Surkhet at Simkot Airport.
