Kathmandu. The road at Soti in Arughat Rural Municipality of Gorkha district has been completely disrupted due to the lack of a concrete bridge.
Due to the flood in the Budhigandaki River, Arughat Rural Municipality Ward No. The iron motorable bridge connecting 2 and 3 at Soti was washed away. After the bridge was washed away, the traffic and movement on the road section has been completely disrupted.
On October 9, at around 5:30 am, an avalanche fell on Siringe Mountain between Lokpa and Chumling in Chumnubri Rural Municipality-6. The Budhigandaki River was flooded after the avalanche blocked the local Uinglung River. The flood swept away the strategic iron motorable bridge connecting Arughat-2 and 3.
Traffic on the section remained completely disrupted till 7:20 am today as the road connection was cut off due to the bridge being washed away, according to the concerned authorities. Due to the closure of the road, the local residents and commuters going to and from the upper region are facing difficulties in commuting.
