Kathmandu. With the financial support and facilitation of Shangri-La Development Bank, nine people of Darchula district have been able to perform cataract surgery free of cost. Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Shangrila Development Bank, nine out of 11 people who needed cataract surgery were recently operated at Geta Eye Hospital, Dadeldhura.
Although 11 people were taken to the hospital for surgery, two could not perform the surgery due to their health condition. In the previous two camps, more than 700 people were given free eye check-up and 487 spectacles and medicines were distributed to 600 people.
Shangrila Development Bank has been providing its services through 109 branches and 30 ATMs across the country.
