Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership Award-2026 concluded
Kathmandu. Social Entrepreneurship and Leadership Award-2026 organized by Vibrant Terai Madhes and promoted by Madhesi Journalists Society has been concluded. Social entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, leaders and people who have contributed in various fields including Madhesh were honored and awarded at a program organized in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The chief guest of the program, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajarshi Janak University, Amar Yadav, talked about the relevance and usefulness of social entrepreneurship and leadership award and said that entrepreneurship plays important role in the economic and social development of the country.
He expressed the view that promotion of entrepreneurship and participation of youths was necessary for the prosperity of the country.
The special guest of the program, industrialist Raj Lama, stressed on the need to run enterprises and businesses by utilizing the possibilities available in the country rather than going abroad in search of employment and opportunities. He said that contributing to economic activities while staying in the country would be helpful in the development and upliftment of the country. He said that active participation and cooperation of all sides is necessary for the development of entrepreneurship. In the program, people from different districts and regions who have contributed in the field of social entrepreneurship, business, leadership and creativity were honored and awarded. Khushi Karn, creative director of Mithila Things from Saptari, Ram Shovit Nayak from Siraha, Pankaj Jalan from Dhanusha, Raman Karna from Mahottari, Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal from Sarlahi, Umesh Karki from Rautahat, Rajesh Kumar Singh from Bara and Dr. Anjaya Mishra from Parsa. The awardees are Khushi Karn from Saptari. Similarly, Dr. Dinesh Chamar and comedian Shubham Singh from Rupandehi of Lumbini Province were also honored. The honorees and awardees have said that this kind of recognition will inspire and encourage them to work more actively in their fields. They expressed the belief that such programs will play a positive role in contributing to social and economic transformation.
According to the organizers, the objective of the award is to encourage social entrepreneurship, leadership and creative contribution and inspire positive change in the society.
